Use The AR Agent in ChatGPT
You need an AR Agent account with your accounting system and mailbox connected.
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins and find The AR Agent, or add it as an app with the address
https://app.thearagent.com/mcp. - Click Connect. Sign in to The AR Agent and press Allow.
- Ask in plain words: “Who owes me money?”, “Why hasn't my biggest customer paid?”, “Who has promised to pay this week?”, or “Chase this customer.”
Use The AR Agent in Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and find The AR Agent, or add a custom connector with the address

- Ask the same questions as above.
What the assistant can and cannot do
Once connected, ChatGPT or Claude can:
- list the customers who owe you money, how much and how late
- explain one customer's account: invoices, recent emails, promises to pay, payments and what is blocking payment
- list the dates customers have promised to pay by, and which have passed
- ask The AR Agent to draft the next email to a customer
It cannot send an email, approve a draft or change anything in your accounting system. A draft it asks for waits in The AR Agent for you to approve, like every other draft, and is sent from there. A customer who has paid, or whose chasing you have paused, is refused with the reason.
Disconnecting
Remove The AR Agent from the assistant's plugins or connectors settings at any time. If someone leaves your team, removing them in The AR Agent under Settings, Team also ends any assistant connection they made, straight away.
Common questions
The address shows an error in my browser. It is meant to be pasted into ChatGPT or Claude, not opened directly.
The assistant says no tools are available. Remove it and add it again, then sign in and press Allow.
An amount is in a different currency from my invoices. Totals are converted to your base currency so accounts can be compared; each customer's own currency is shown alongside.
